“Things weren’t real to you.  They were just raw material for you to reshape to tell a story you liked better.  You could never just listen to a boy play guitar, you’d have to turn it into a poem, make it all about you.” Janet Fitch, White Oleander

“But the beginning of things, of a world especially, is necessarily vague, tangled, chaotic, and exceedingly disturbing.”  Kate Chopin, The Awakening

“So it goes.” Kurt Vonnegut, Slaughterhouse-Five

  1. I’ve been really lazy recently, but yours don’t seem lazy. It’s good. I only started this year so expect my better stuff to come later, I’m still finding my footing in the free form, whereas you’ve hit the ground running. Excellent stuff.
Oh, and I like that when I go to sleep at night I can pretty much expect to wake up to a whole bunch of likes from you haha, personally I don’t use my reader thing, but I was cruising through your page just now. I’d go like all your stuff but I’m really bad at that. If I got into the habit of doing it I’d just be doing it all the time. Basically, I like it. I like it all. I like some more than others but each has something to say. It’s really bloody lovely.

  2. Thanks for the like on my poem Anatomy of Faith in three parts! Writing, for me, up to my blog (and a brief stint in a creative writing program in college) has always therapeutic even when it wasn’t my intention. Write on.

  3. I saw that you’d read some of my work so I thought I’d return the favor: I wasn’t disappointed. Thank you for sharing your words with the world and for reading mine.

  4. thanks for liking my post. it’s just the beginning (on blog) and I appreciate any feedback
and looking at your writing- I think I’ll be coming back 😉

  5. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I hope your visit was inspiring. I have enjoyed reading your wonderful work. And I can certainly relate to the ambiguity you express. Keep up the good work. And please stop back again and check out my poetry tag. I love to merge imagery and prose.

  7. I continue to enjoy your work and have named you to receive the “Very Inspiring Blog” award. Check my site for details in about an hour. – AB at Mild Musings of a Mediocre Man (Although you’ve already been “Freshly Pressed 😀 )

Love you, too
